Your browser derives the journal’s encryption key from your passphrase or account password. Feason receives that credential over an encrypted connection during setup and unlock, and stores a verification hash. The Privacy Policy explains how credentials and encrypted entry text are handled.
Keep the original credential. Resetting an account password or replacing a journal passphrase does not recover entries encrypted with the old credential. Feason does not offer a recovery process that restores those entries without it.
Choose a passphrase you’ll remember (it must be at least 6 characters), and consider keeping it in a password manager. If you’re locked out, contact us for help with account access; recovering account access does not by itself restore journal access.
