What it is
The Discernment journal is for the writing you do before God — examination, prayer, grief, hope. Your entries are not shared with other members.
How the privacy works
- Entry titles and bodies are encrypted in your browser (AES-256) before upload. Feason stores that text as ciphertext, alongside account and entry metadata.
- Journal text is excluded from the feed-personalization pipeline and is not sent to AI providers.
- Feason receives your journal password or passphrase over an encrypted connection during setup and unlock, and stores a verification hash. See the Privacy Policy for this security boundary.
- Deleting an entry is permanent.
Unlocking your journal
If you sign in with email and password, your account password unlocks the journal. If you sign in with Google or Apple, you’ll create a separate journal passphrase the first time you use it.
