Community Guidelines

Feason is a place for contemplative Christian community — scripture study, reflection, prayer, and thoughtful exchange. These guidelines are a plain-language companion to our Terms of Service. They apply to public posts, profiles, images, reading groups, direct messages, links, reports, and other ways members interact. When in doubt, assume good faith and err on the side of kindness.

Be kind

• No harassment, targeted abuse, hate speech, or slurs.
• Disagree in good faith: debate ideas, not people.
• Don't post content intended to shame, stalk, dox, or intimidate another person.
• No credible threats, encouragement of violence, or celebration of serious harm.

Protect people — especially minors

• Never sexualize, exploit, groom, endanger, or solicit private information or images from a minor. Child sexual abuse material is prohibited and may be reported to the appropriate authorities.
• Do not encourage suicide, self-harm, eating disorders, terrorism, or violent wrongdoing, or provide instructions intended to help someone cause serious harm.
• Do not post non-consensual intimate imagery, trafficking content, or material that exploits a person who cannot meaningfully consent.

If someone may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. Reporting a post to Feason does not contact emergency responders.

Share faithfully

• Be yourself. Don't impersonate anyone, real or imagined.
• Own your words. No spam, scams, fraudulent fundraising, chain posts, undisclosed automation, or bot-style repetition.
• Don't post content you don't have the right to share — that includes lifted articles, pirated books, or photos that aren't yours to distribute.

Respect privacy and boundaries

• Don't share another person's address, contact details, private messages, account credentials, intimate content, or other sensitive information without the permission or legal right to do so.
• Don't upload a recognizable photo of someone else to Behold without their agreement. The image is sent to an AI provider for processing.
• Direct messages are not end-to-end encrypted, and recipients can save or share what you send. Keep confessions, passwords, payment data, and other high-risk information out of messages.

Link responsibly

• When you paste a link into a gleam, our server fetches the page's public metadata (title and description) and shows a preview card. Only share links to content you believe is safe and on-topic.
• No malware, phishing, fraud, or links whose main purpose is commercial solicitation unrelated to the discussion.
• If a link you posted changes to something you didn't intend, delete the gleam. If you see someone else's link gone bad, report it.

Use AI and voice features carefully

Feasy sends your messages to OpenAI, while Lexicon sends them to Anthropic. Web voice input sends your recording to OpenAI for transcription; iOS uses Apple Speech Recognition, which runs on-device when supported and may otherwise use Apple's servers. Spoken output sends the reply text to ElevenLabs. Don't share confessions, medical or legal matters, passwords, payment data, or other sensitive information through these features. AI output can be wrong and is not pastoral, medical, legal, mental-health, or emergency advice.

How reports work

When you submit a public gleam, an automated culture check may ask you to revise it or may prevent a serious safety violation from being posted. The check evaluates conduct and manner, not whether a doctrine, denomination, or viewpoint is correct. Automated checks can make mistakes and do not replace member reports or human review.

Every gleam has a Report button for signed-in users. Reports go to a queue that moderators review in good faith. We aim to review reports promptly, typically within 24 hours after we become aware of them, with priority for illegal content, threats, child safety, impersonation, and ongoing harassment.

You can also reach us at any time via the Contact page. Copyright issues go through our DMCA Policy. A person shown in an intimate image or video shared without consent, or someone authorized to act for them, can use the account-free Intimate Image Removalprocess.

Give enough detail for us to locate and understand the issue. Do not file reports you know are false or use reporting tools to pressure someone in a disagreement.

What happens when we remove something

We consider the content, context, severity, risk of harm, account history, and whether conduct is repeated. Action may include a warning, reduced distribution, content removal, feature restriction, temporary suspension, or permanent account termination. Serious safety or illegal-content violations can skip directly to removal or termination. We may preserve relevant records or notify authorities where appropriate or required by law.

If you think a removal was a mistake, tell us — we'll review the decision in good faith. An appeal does not guarantee restoration.

Use blocking and safety controls

You can block another member from their profile. Blocking prevents direct messaging between you and that member. You can both block and report someone; you do not need to contact them first or explain why you blocked them.

A note on tone

Feason is meant to feel unhurried. You can disagree sharply and still be generous. Good-faith theological disagreement, lament, doubt, and criticism are welcome. Do not treat one Christian tradition as a pretext to demean another person or group. These rules are enforced without favoring a denomination or viewpoint. Thanks for helping keep it that way.
