Imagine the courage it took to proclaim Christ is Lord during the early times of persecution. For example in Rome if you didn’t say the emperor was lord you’d be persecuted for treason. Those Christians knew Christ was the real Lord but to proclaim it could cost them their lives. Much respect to those with that level of Faithfulness.
